We are looking for a female assistant who wants to work with a lively 14-year-old girl who has a brain injury that prevents her from seeing, speaking, understanding dangers, or complex instructions. She needs support and help with everything in her daily life. She has personal assistance around the clock.

About the assignment
In the role of personal assistant, you will be with the girl on her terms. She enjoys playing, going on trips in her own car, visiting the playground, SWIMMING, reading books, listening to music, sitting in the sandbox, going down slides, swinging, exercising, playing with Lego, doing puzzles, etc. You will be part of a dedicated team of other assistants whom the girl calls 'friends'. There are pets in the home, so you cannot be allergic to animals. The girl lives 10 km outside of Hudiksvall and has siblings. She has assistance at school during the day.

Who are you as an applicant
We are looking for someone who has personal suitability for the assignment. For us, this means that you are responsible, empathetic, and attentive. It is important that you are punctual and can keep time but also flexible enough to occasionally fill in to cover staffing gaps. You can work both independently and collaborate with others. It is also desirable that you have good physical fitness, are cheerful, and positive. The chemistry and interaction between you as an assistant and the client are crucial for the quality and experience of the work. We see great value in you having a calm and methodical approach, being stress-resistant, and having good patience.

It is important that you as an applicant see the position as a long-term commitment since you will become an important part of the girl's life. The assistants use sign language to help the girl express what SHE wants to do or how she feels. Training in sign language will be provided if you do not have prior experience.

You need to have a driver's license and a car to reach the workplace, which is the girl's home.

The working hours cover the entire day, and you as an assistant can be scheduled for either day, evening, or night shifts. You will undergo shadowing/introduction to achieve a 40% employment rate after the introductions during the period from February to May, and during June to August, you will increase to a 100% employment rate, and in September, you will return to 40% again.
